Tips for a Sustainable / Green Wedding
Why a vegan wedding?
We wanted a vegan wedding because we are both vegan and we wanted our wedding to be aligned with our values.
Our vegan friends were very excited that they would have plenty to eat at our wedding without having to question anything. Our non-vegan friends and family didn't complain about it at all (at least not that we heard) and most people liked the food a lot.

During the craziness of setting up, BevMo showed up with a keg of beer that we didn't order. We were trying to figure who sent it and it turned out to be someone we didn't know that must have put the wrong date on the order.
Simple ways to make your wedding unique
We did the decorations and signs ourselves and tried to get everything second hand. We kept it low budget without compromising what we wanted out of the day. We were fortunate enough to have help from family and friends. We used vendors that were friends of friends or recommended by friends.
Sanctuary Bistro's role... AWWWWW.... Thank you!
Jen was wonderful and very helpful. She went above and beyond what is expected of a caterer and helped with the wedding planning and making sure everything flowed nicely during the reception. They were very accommodating about the menu and tweaking things to make sure it was exactly what we wanted.
Other amazing vegan vendors
We used a bartender that works at a vegan restaurant, Steve Draper. He brought a friend with and they did a great job and were very friendly. They even helped us unload the cars before the reception and pack up after.
