Easy Street Sundays!

We are excited to begin our Easy Street Sundays in honor of Meatless Mondays.  The work week is long and hard and often with very little time. So we are going to start publishing recipes from you.

Here's what we are looking for: 

  • The recipe should be vegan and gluten free
  • It should be something that is quick and easy
  • We will have 5 categories:
    • Appetizers and Sides
    • Snacks and desserts
    • Entrees 
    • Drinks
    • Soups and Salads

How do you participate?
  • Send your recipes to chefbarry@sanctuarybistro.com
  • Make sure to include:
    • your name, 
    • website
    • 3-5 sentence bio
    • 3 sentences about the item you are contributing
    • Which category you would like it in
  • Entries should be in by the friday before to be included! (I will respond letting you know I have received your entry. If you do not hear from me resend.  
  • You can send up to 1 recipe per category
Do I have to be a master chef to contribute?
No, everyone is welcome.  We are excited to have everyone as part of our group.  If you have a VEGAN business you are welcome to promote it in your Bio.

Pineapple Strawberry Salsa and Brown Rice Cinnamon Chips 
This is a great potluck item as it is easy to make and is delicious. Impress your friends with this awesome and decadent treat!  It includes the essence of summer.

1 pineapple, small diced

1 pint of Strawberries, small diced

¾ cup red onion, small diced

1-2 jalapenos, stemmed and minced

1/3 cup cilantro, chopped finely

3 limes, Fresh Squeezed


  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and refrigerate for an hour.
  1. Serve with Cinnamon Chips.  See below.

 

Brown Rice Cinnamon Chips 

1 pkg. Brown Rice Tortillas

Earth Balance

Cinnamon and Sugar


  1. Butter the Tortillas thinly on each side of the Tortilla. 
  1. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on both sides of the tortilla. 
  1. Bake until crispy.
