The water ban, is it enough? Water regulations in California.

Hello Dear Customers and Guests,As of April 15 we can no longer serve you water unless you request it. Please help us meet your needs and the planets needs by letting us know if you need water.  We are going to be gradually implementing this prior to April 15.  Read about it here. Please note that we don't want you to feel neglected.  I so often feel that water not at the table is a discomfort to some.  This may change your dining experience.  We choose to look at this as a positive:1.  We are doing our part together as a team.2. We have to build more communication with the server and the guest because that builds community.3.  You have to become more forward about your needs.I am sad that we can not meet you instant gratification needs.  Know that we don't want to neglect you and we don't want to neglect the planet.I actually think that limiting water drinking is not truly the answer although I think that every little bit helps.  I almost feel that it is a bit ironic that at the place that you go to eat you are not openly encouraged to drink water.  Especially as water is the healthiest of all drinks, and especially with our water. I think that we need to be taking more dramatic steps. I think that we need to find the biggest water waster offenders and start targeting their water practices:  animal agriculture, plant agriculture that requires a lot of water, car washing business (encouraged or supported to have a reclaiming water program).....Who do you think the biggest offenders are? What can we do because every little bit helps? From our family to yours,We are in this together.Photo Credit: ViaMoi via Compfight cc
